Mother's Day Concert, 11-May-2019

Mother’s Day was celebrated at our Parish School on Saturday 11-May-2019.
Following the already well-established tradition the celebration consisted of a moleben prayers in the Cathedral, followed by a concert in the upstairs hall. 
We thank the Ukrainian Cooperative Dnister for presenting a funding grant of $1400, and also for their ongoing support of our school.

Start of the year at Ukrainian School, 9-Feb-2019

On Saturday, 9th February, 57 students made a wonderful start on their first day at Ukrainian school - happy greetings, noisy chatter with friends and anticipation.

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our Ukrainian Parish Saturday School for 2019!
Term 1 will commence on Saturday 9th Februarу at 9.00am till 1:30pm. 
At 9:30am there will be Holy Liturgy in church for students and parents followed by a welcome assembly and school photo. Recess is between 11:15 and 11:45am and the school canteen will be open for lunch orders.

The Staff and the Parent Committee look forward to seeing you on the first day back in Term 1, 2019!

End-of-year Presentation, Christmas Nativity and Carols, 08-Dec-2018

The school year was concluded with a Holy Liturgy for students and parents, followed by the final end-of-year reports and presentation of awards.

Afterwards, students have performed a Christmas Nativity Play and and sang traditional carols, with parents and guests participating in many of them.

We extend our sincere thanks to Sister Macrena and Sister Lukia, who teach the Ukrainian traditions of Christmas to our students.

This Saturday, we have been commemorating The HOLODOMOR, an International Remembrance Day of The Famine-Genocide 1932-33 in UKRAINE. This was a tragic event – a forced famine by Stalin, with a death toll up to 10 million. Year 6/7/8 students made a presentation at assembly. WE REMEMBER THEM!
